We don't waffle so here's what everything actually means.

Brand Identity - This is everything someone sees when they look at your business - your logo, your colours, your fonts, the way it all fits together. Think of it as your outfit. You can have great stuff to say, but if you turn up looking a mess, people will have already made their mind up.

Logo - It's not just a pretty picture. It's the thing people recognise you by before they've read a single word. Done right, it says everything about who you are in a split second. Done wrong, it looks like you made it on your lunch break in 2009. We'll make sure it's the former.

Primary Logo - The big one. The main event. This is the core version of your logo that does the heavy lifting on your website and main signage. It’s the most complete version of your mark - the one we want people to memorise.

Secondary Logo - The backup. Sometimes your primary logo is too tall for a website header or too wide for a social banner. We create a secondary version that keeps the soul of the original but shifts the layout to fit the awkward spaces. Same brand, different shape.

Favicon / Monogram - The "tiny but mighty" marks. A Favicon is that little icon you see on a browser tab. A Monogram is a simplified version of your initials or mark. These are designed to stay sharp and recognisable even when they’re the size of a postage stamp.

Typography - Fancy word for fonts. But not just picking one you like the look of - it's about choosing typefaces that feel like you, work at every size, and are still readable on a phone screen at 7am. Yes, fonts have feelings. We promise this matters more than you think.

Colour Palette - Your brand's set of colours - not just your favourite ones, but the ones that say the right thing to the right people. Every colour carries a mood. We pick the ones that do the heavy lifting for your brand so you're not accidentally telling people you're boring when you're actually brilliant.

Visual Hierarchy - The art of making people look at the right thing, in the right order, without them knowing you're doing it. Big headline first. Key info next. Small print last. It sounds obvious - it's deceptively hard to get right.

Brand Guidelines - Your brand's rulebook. Colours, fonts, logo rules, tone of voice, dos and don'ts. The thing that means your brand looks like you whether it's on a business card, a billboard, or a TikTok. We hand you this at the end so you - or anyone you work with - can stay on brand without ringing us every five minutes.

Art Direction -The vision behind how something looks - not just what's in it, but the feel of it. The mood. The story. It's the difference between a photo that sells something and a photo that just... exists. We handle this so every image, every layout, every campaign feels like it belongs to you.

Mood Board - Not just a Pinterest board. A mood board is how we show you a direction before we commit to it - pulling together colours, textures, images, and references that capture the feeling we're going for. It's the easiest way to make sure we're all thinking about the same thing before a single pixel gets designed.

Wireframe - The blueprint of a website or app - before any of the pretty stuff goes on. Think of it like a floor plan for a house. It maps out where everything lives, how you move through it, and whether it actually makes sense - before we spend time making it look good. No point decorating a house with no doors.

UI (User Interface) - Everything you see and click on a website or app. The buttons. The menus. The layout. If it's on the screen and you interact with it, that's UI. Our job is to make sure it looks brilliant and does what you'd expect it to do.

UX (User Experience) - How it feels to use something. Not just does it look good - does it work? Is it obvious? Does it make sense? Good UX means people find what they're looking for without wanting to throw their phone out the window. Bad UX is why you've abandoned your online shopping basket at checkout more than once.

Responsive Design - Your website looking and working properly on every device - phone, tablet, laptop, massive desktop monitor your uncle bought in 2018. If your site only works on one of those, you're losing people. We make sure it doesn't matter what they're on.

Content Strategy - A plan for what you say, where you say it, how often, and why. Not just "we'll post on Instagram sometimes." A proper, thought-through approach to what your audience actually wants to hear - and how your content does a job for your business, not just fill a feed.

Copywriting - The words. On your website, your socials, your packaging, your ads. Good copy doesn't just describe - it persuades, reassures, excites, and sounds like a real human being wrote it. Bad copy sounds like a press release from 2003. We know the difference.

Campaign - A focused, coordinated push around one thing - a launch, a product, a moment, a message. Everything working together across different channels at the same time, all saying the same thing in different ways. More impact, less noise.

Asset - Any piece of finished creative - a logo file, a social media graphic, a photo, a video, a document. When we deliver your project, we hand over your assets so you actually own everything and can use it wherever you need it. No chasing us six months later for a file.

Deliverable - What we actually hand over at the end. Not vague promises - real files, real work, ready to use. Every project has a clear list of deliverables so you know exactly what you're getting before we start.

Iteration - Going again. Refining. Taking feedback and making it better. Good creative work doesn't come out perfect the first time - it gets there through honest conversation and a willingness to push it further. We're not precious. We just want it to be right.

Inkonography™ - Our word. Our thing. Hand-drawn, inked artwork made specifically for your brand - icons, illustrations, marks - that no AI can generate and no template can replicate. The moment your brand stops looking like everyone else's. See it to believe it.
